Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease two 8x4-inch loaf pans.
Step 2
Beat sugar, oil, and eggs together in a large bowl until well combined. Stir in pears, pecans and vanilla extract.
Step 3
In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir into pear mixture until well combined. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pans
Step 4
Bake in preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in center of loaf comes out clean, about 1 hour. Cool in pans for 10 minutes before moving to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2.5 cups pears - peeled, cored and chopped
