Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).

Stir butter and sugar together in a large bowl until smooth. Stir in flour and cardamom until well blended.

Pinch off tablespoons of dough; roll into a thin rope. Join ends together in a circle; place on a greased cookie sheet with one almond half on joints where circles come together.
