Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Prepare cake according to package instructions for three 8-inch round cakes. Bake according to package directions. Cool on a wire rack.
Step 2
To make the frosting: Beat egg white, sugar, and strawberries together in a large bowl on high speed until very stiff peaks form, about 20 minutes.
Step 3
Place one cake layer on a serving plate; insert several toothpicks evenly on top of cake; this will help hold layers together. Frost with 1/4 of the frosting. Repeat with second layer. Place third layer on top; frost top and sides of cake with remaining 3/4 of frosting.
